The service

Online Compass provides a free, browser-based compass and related directional information using your device’s sensors. It is provided free of charge and supported by advertising.

Accuracy & safety disclaimer

The Service depends on the quality, calibration and correct use of your device’s sensors, and on environmental conditions such as nearby metal or magnetic interference. Readings are provided on an “as is” basis for general, informational and casual use only.

Do not rely on Online Compass as your sole or primary means of navigation, or for any aviation, marine, mountaineering, emergency, military or other safety-critical purpose.Always carry and use appropriate, purpose-built navigation equipment and cross-check important bearings.
